This course has been constructed to enable participants to gain a wider understanding of the issues relating to sexual harassment.
Course Outcomes: The course seeks to:
- support participants in developing inner resources to combat and surmount the disabling effects of sexual harassment
- help participants recognise the overt and covert nature of sexual harassment
- help participants develop criteria for recognising, analysing and evaluating sexual harassment.
The course is designed to be interactive and participatory in style. There will be an opportunity for group discussion and dissemination of information, in a safe learning environment.
This course provides activities to identify and prevent potentially unproductive
levels of stress. It also addresses ways of managing
stress once it has occured.
Course Outcomes:
By the end of the course, participants will have:
- gained a better understanding of stress
- identified various forms of stress
- examined different sources of stress
- examined the kinds of coping skills participants and groups can use to de-escalate stress levels
- identified the role of the organisation in coping with organisational stress.
This course focuses on examples of everyday conflict at work and ways to seek resolution
Course Outcomes:
Participants will be offered the opportunity to:
- gain a theoretical understanding of conflict
- explore the range of options which can be adopted in response to conflict
- develop skills in handling conflict
- practice handling conflict and receiving feedback in a safe environment.
Unfortunately, it is not only children who bully, adults do it as well. Systematic bullying can be subtle and hard to pinpoint. Individual occurrences may seem insignificant, but over time, it can be hard to maintain one's personal power in the onslaught. This course is designed to raise the awareness of bullying at work.
Course Outcomes:
The course seeks to:
- reach a common terminology with regard to bullying
- examine behaviours associated with bullying
- explore what makes a victim/bully
- construct a framework for dealing with bullying
- develop and practice strategies for coping with bullying in a safe environment.
This training programme contains formal presentation of information combined with interactive learning opportunities.
