CCI & Associates have over 15 years of experience working with various partners in the private, public and voluntary sectors, delivering developmental training at all levels, undertaking ‘work place relationship’ training and research, and conducting investigations into disciplinary/performance issues.
The knowledge gained over this time has allowed the CCI team to build up a professional and in depth understanding of ‘work place’ issues. This is now being further developed to offer a service to organisations, which feedback has indicated are becoming more difficult to handle in-house, primarily due to time constraints and other pressures being placed upon managers.
CCI & Associates understand that while most organisations strive to maintain a positive relationship with their employees, sometimes this relationship becomes strained and occasionally breaks down all together. CCI & Associates can assist in helping to reconstruct that relationship through non threatening intervention, through repairing the communication barriers that sometimes exist, and through the process of mediation. Employees are a valuable resource, and much time and money is generally invested in their development to assist them to perform their role effectively. Where possible, we believe that this should not be squandered.
Sometimes, however, the relationship is for whatever reason tested through an individuals’ conduct or poor performance. Employment legislation places a duty upon employers to deal properly, fairly and expeditiously with their employees through this process. However, various constraints often mean that organisations cannot manage this extra burden effectively.
CCI’s team have over 12 years experience of conducting internal investigations into disciplinary, conduct and performance related issues and can provide a thorough investigation service in a confidential and supportive manner.
The process begins with the agreement of formal ‘Terms of Reference’, and only concludes after further agreement that these terms have been met. In between, all relevant evidence is reviewed, witnesses are interviewed and accounts are obtained. After this the individual subject(s) of the investigation are interviewed and their account obtained. Conclusions and recommendations are then drafted from a comprehensive investigation report for the consideration of the organisation.
Although CCI & Associates are registered with the Information Commissioners Office under the Data Protection Act, all investigation material, once completed, is handed to the organisation and a certificate provided to acknowledge this. CCI and Associates hold no personal information on completion of the investigation.
CCI’s reputation is highly enviable and therefore not negotiable, which means that the team work to a strict Code of Morals and Ethics, consisting of:
- Honesty and Integrity
- Responsibility and Accountability
- Confidentiality
- Equality, Respect for Diversity, Courtesy & Respect
- Thoroughness & Accuracy.
As a consequence of the feedback from all aspects of the investigations that we have undertaken, we have been encouraged to offer this service nationally.
Because of the sensitive nature of this area, and the need to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, we have not included any details of clients. However an anonomised case study can be viewed on the ‘Case History’ page.
